Refund & Cancellation Policy:
Please note that there will be no refunds or discounts for arriving late, leaving early, flight cancellations, travel delays or illness. We wish we could compensate people for unforeseen circumstances (injury, family emergency, etc), but we have costs that will already be incurred when reserving houses, excursions, supplies and private chef. In order to protect yourself, we strongly encourage you to purchase travel insurance.
If we cancel a retreat:
We have never had to cancel a retreat and would have to be an act of God. However, if we do cancel a trip, we will refund to you all deposits and payments you have paid. We cannot however compensate you for airfare or travel costs incurred, which is another reason to get trip insurance. In the event that we cancel a retreat, you will be refunded all land costs paid to Healing Heart Journeys. In the unlikely event that Healing Heart Journeys must cancel a retreat due to weather, natural disaster or political upheaval, we cannot guarantee a refund – it will be dependent upon receiving a refund from the host that we work with. Please, to cover these risks, we highly recommend you purchase travel insurance.
Travel Insurance can protect you in the event that you cancel your participation in the retreat; the retreat is cancelled for any reason, lost baggage, medical expenses, etc. We recommend Travel Guard, which offers a variety of travel insurances, including the option for a comprehensive “cancel for any reason” policy. We’ve used them on a number of occasions and they are the best We’ve found. Please note, you must contact Travel Guard and purchase the policy within 15 days of buying your airline tickets or incurring any costs for any part of your travel. Some people have still been able to get travel insurance a month before departure but why risk it; call at the get go..
